Sharmayne has limited availability for an immediate start to therapy!
Sharmayne enjoyed exploring Adelaide for the past 4 years. She is an avid traveller and spent 5 years working as a travel consultant before following her passion for psychology and beginning her new career path.
Sharmayne doesn’t really understand what a hobby is, but enjoys travelling, working/researching psychology, binging tv series, and socialising with friends. While Sharmayne is a fantastic psychologist, she is also a superstar:
Sharmayne is friendly, open, patient, and overly empathetic. She is a strong advocate for people being true to themselves in whatever wonderful way they want to. She enjoys exploring peoples individual differences with them and working with them to strive towards their values and what’s important to them in life. She’s not afraid to question why we have certain beliefs and rules and whether these are working for us.
Sharmayne is comfortable working with all genders, sexualities, ages, cultures, and socioeconomic situations. She takes pride in meeting where clients are at and working at their own pace to build a strong therapeutic relationship with collaborative problem solving. She has an eclectic approach using various evidence-based interventions to assist the client to improve their sense of mental well-being and increased functional capacity.

Sharmayne is also happy to meet with parents to provide support and education to manage various challenges.

Whilst Sharmayne has nearly completed the "practice" stage of her study, she has a Psychology Board of Australia approved external Supervisor and also Monique as an internal Supervisor to ensure Sharmayne practices in a high quality, competent and ethical manner.
We have mindfully selected Sharmayne's external supervisor as they are an highly experienced Psychologist who has undertaken Board approved training in competency based supervision.
If you come into the clinic, you can meet Sharmayne's handsome best friend, K-Dog, who joins her for therapy sessions.
Alternatively, please let us know if you would prefer K-Dog didn't attend your sessions.
